We’re excited to share an update on one of our most meaningful projects currently underway — Junction Thrive at Tonsley, a landmark development in southern Adelaide being delivered by national builder Schiavello.
FLRHUB is proud to be part of this project, which forms a key part of the Federal Government’s Social Housing Accelerator Program (SHAP) — an initiative set to deliver a minimum of 230 homes across South Australia. It’s the kind of work that goes beyond flooring, and we don’t take that lightly.
Working in partnership with Flrcom, FLRHUB has supplied all material whilst Flrcom have handled all flooring preparation and installation across the seven-storey apartment complex, which will deliver 50 apartments offering a mix of youth and social housing options.
We recently headed out to the site to catch up with Brad, Schiavello’s site manager, and see how the team is getting on. It was great to see the progress firsthand — the crew have been hard at work laying ‘Northern Grain’ and ‘Natural Woodgrains’ 4.5mm Vinyl Plank by Interface, ‘Marmoleum Walton Vinyl’ by Forbo, along with Interface carpet tile collections ‘Urban Retreat’, ‘Employ’, ‘Composure II’ and ‘Past Forward’ throughout the communal corridors. Stage one is now in its final stages, and we can’t wait to see it through to completion.
Brad had this to say about the project:
The good news doesn’t stop there. FLRHUB and Flrcom are thrilled to have been selected for Stage 2 of the build, which will see an additional 63 apartments added to the complex — bringing even more homes to the people who need them most.
Watch this space for more updates as the project progresses.
